Beautiful ayat of Qur'an (as Ami says 'listen your parents')

Al-Ahqaf (The Curved Sandhills)
46:15 NOW [among the best of the deeds which] We have enjoined upon man is goodness towards his parents. In pain did his mother bear him, and in pain did she give him birth; and her bearing him and his utter dependence on her took thirty months. and so, when he attains to full maturity and reaches forty years, he [that is righteous] prays: "O my Sustainer! Inspire me so that I may forever be grateful for those blessings of Thine with which Thou hast graced me and my parents, and that I may do what is right [in a manner] that will meet with Thy goodly acceptance; and grant me righteousness in my offspring [as well]. Verily, unto Thee have I turned in repentance: for, verily, I am of those who have surrendered themselves unto Thee!"
46:15

A verse from the Quran, followed by some analysis.

Al-Qamar (The Moon)
54:50 and Our ordaining [a thing and its coming into being] is but one [act], like the twinkling of an eye.
54:50
Note: I.e., there is no time lag and no conceptual difference between God's "willing" the creation of a thing and His "creating" it, for "when He wills a thing to be, He but says unto it, 'Be' - and it is". The comparison with the "twinkling of an eye" is, of course, merely idiomatic, i.e., based on the human concept of something instantaneous.

Iqbal's perspective:
God is ominiscient, all-knowing. However, His knowledge is unlike our knowledge which is discursive and is based on the duality of the subject and the object, the knower and the known. God, being all-inclusive, cannot be thought of as having a perspective like that of the finite egos. God is in fact an organic whole and nothing confronts Him. He knows and at the same time is creative of the objects known. Knowledge and creation with him are one indivisible act. We have no word to express the kind of knowledge which at the same time is also creative of its object.

from an entry in Iqbal's personal diary:

Nietzsche thinks that belief in God makes man feeble. The wisdom of Islam consists in exploiting the idea of God in the interests of Man, and transforming him into a source of power for the Tauhid of Islam (oneness of God) means absolute freedom from fear and superstition in actual life. A mere intellectual belief in God does not count for much in Islam.

saying of the 9th century Sufi Bistami:

God is so overwhelming that man becomes nothing even when thinking of His name or pronouncing the word Allah with proper awe: I once uttered the call to prayer and fainted. When I came to my senses I thought, 'It is amazing that a man does not die when uttering the call to prayer.'

Malcolm X (may Allah be pleased with Him) was a true Muslim and a shaheed. Allah guided him and brought him to understanding in Makkah, after which he changed his name to El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz. Today is the date of his assasination, may Allah forgive his sins and grant him Paradise, and we should contemplate his life and words:

"The time for you and me to allow ourselves to be brutalized nonviolently has passed. Be nonviolent only with those who are nonviolent to you. And when you can bring me a nonviolent racist, bring me a nonviolent segregationist, then I'll get nonviolent. But don't teach me to be nonviolent until you teach some of those white men to be nonviolent."  -Malcolm X

Don't be in a hurry to condemn because he doesn't do what you do or think as you think or as fast. There was a time when you didn't know what you know today.
-Malcolm X

I believe in a religion that believes in freedom. Any time I have to accept a religion that won't let me fight a battle for my people, I say to hell with that religion.
-Malcolm X

I'm for truth, no matter who tells it. I'm for justice, no matter who it's for or against.
-Malcolm X

If you have no critics you'll likely have no success.
-Malcolm X

If you're not ready to die for it, put the word 'freedom' out of your vocabulary.
-Malcolm X

There is nothing better than adversity. Every defeat, every heartbreak, every loss, contains its own seed, its own lesson on how to improve your performance the next time.
-Malcolm X

Truth is on the side of the oppressed.
-Malcolm X

You can't separate peace from freedom because no one can be at peace unless he has his freedom.
-Malcolm X

You're not supposed to be so blind with patriotism that you can't face reality. Wrong is wrong, no matter who says it.
-Malcolm X

I believe that there will ultimately be a clash between the oppressed and those that do the oppressing. I believe that there will be a clash between those who want freedom, justice and equality for everyone and those who want to continue the systems of exploitation.
-Malcolm X

Without education, you're not going anywhere in this world.
-Malcolm X

I am not a racist. I am against every form of racism and segregation, every form of discrimination. I believe in human beings, and that all human beings should be respected as such, regardless of their color.
-Malcolm X

America needs to understand Islam, because this is the one religion that erases from its society the race problem.
-From a letter Malcolm X wrote to his wife toward the end of his pilgrimage to Mecca

Yeh hain voh sher jo Nana Abu yaad karte thay, Iqbal ke Bal-i-Jibreel se, ke Ka'aba aur Islam ki tareekh Ismai'l ke shahadat se shooru hui aur Karbala ki shahadat pe khatam ho gai. subHanAllah.

غريب و سادہ و رنگيں ہے داستان حرم
نہايت اس کي حسين ، ابتدا ہے اسمعيل
The Holy Land's story
Is colourful, simple, strange;
It begins with Isma'il,
And ends with Hussain.

محبت کا جنوں باقي نہيں ہے
مسلمانوں ميں خوں باقي نہيں ہے
صفيں کج ، دل پريشاں ، سجدہ بے ذوق
کہ جذب اندروں باقي نہيں ہے
Muslims have lost the passion of love they had;
They are lily-livered, timid, and weak;
Their prayers are cold, unfelt, distracted rites;
They lack the inward fire of a burning faith.

Al-Baqara (The Cow)
2:256 THERE SHALL BE no coercion in matters of faith. Distinct has now become the right way from [the way of] error: hence, he who rejects the powers of evil and believes in God has indeed taken hold of a support most unfailing, which shall never give way: for God is all-hearing, all-knowing.

Subject: Iqbal aur Qawm al-Zalimeena

10:85 They said: "In Allah do we put our trust. Our Lord! make us not a trial for those who practice oppression"
10:85

meri tarha Iqbal bhi aalimi Capitalist nizam pe socha karte the aur is ke azlam is zamane ki dunya mein. wo in alfaz mein Allah ko puchtey:

tu qaadir o' adil hai magar tere jahaan mein
hain talkh bahot banda-e mazdur ke auqaat
kab doobega sarmaya parasti ka safeena
dunya hai teri muntazir-e roz-e makaafat

You are all-powerful and just,
Yet in your world
The slaves of labor suffer through bitter times
When will the boat of capital-worship sink?
Your world awaits the day of requital

aur unke liye Hazrat Hussein ki shahadat Karbala mein khudi ki sab se baland misal hai, jinko dunyadari or badshahat se parva nahi thi aur siraf Haqq aur Islami Adl ke ishq se dard uthaya.

bahr-e haqq dar khak o khun ghaltida ast
pas bina-e la illah gardida ast

For the sake of Truth, he writhed in dust and blood
Thus did he become the foundation of la ilaha

utho meri dunya ke gharibon ko jagaa do
kakh-e umara ke dar o divar hila do
jis khet se dahqan ko muyassar nahin rozi
us khet ke har khusha-e gandum ko jala do!

Rise! Awaken the poor of my world
Shake the doors and walls of the palaces of the rich
Set ablaze every stack of grain
In the field from which the farmer receives no sustenance

qatl-e Husain asl mein marg-e Yazid  hai
Islam zinda hota hai har Karbala ke ba'd

In reality the murder of Husain is the death of Yazid
Islam is resurrected after every Karbala

haqq o batil ki hai paikaar hamesha jari

The war between truth and falsehood is eternal

SubHanAllah
